Summary

My requirements for a man are simple。 Must love books。 Must NOT love hockey。

Which is why I will never be interested in my neighbor, the aloof and mysterious Felix Jamison, no matter how many books I see him hauling into his apartment。 Unless he loses his pro hockey skates, I’m out。

But then he shows up at my symphony concert。 And I catch the sweet strains of Bach floating across the hall。 Have I mentioned how incredible he looks in his game day suit?

Still, my history with hockey is complicated。 My older brother played, and let’s just say he stole enough limelight to land a plane at midnight。 I was forced to be a part of that world for so long, now that I have a choice, it’s the last thing I want。

But something tells me Felix is about to change my mind…

Absolutely Not in Love is a closed-door hockey romcom with forced proximity, a bookish hockey goalie, a classical musician, and all the swoony chemistry you want。

First thing: Felix。 I’m a little partial to the name Felix, since the Felix is the name of one of my favorite Kpop members in Stray Kids。 I absolutely adored what Emma St。 Clair did with Felix’s character in Just Don’t Fall so I was SO excited to see what the amazing Jenny Proctor would do with his character, as he is the star of this book。 Immediately I knew this Felix is just as wonderful as Don’t Just Fall, even more so in this book because I got to know him more。 And he’s so sweet, thoughtfu First thing: Felix。 I’m a little partial to the name Felix, since the Felix is the name of one of my favorite Kpop members in Stray Kids。 I absolutely adored what Emma St。 Clair did with Felix’s character in Just Don’t Fall so I was SO excited to see what the amazing Jenny Proctor would do with his character, as he is the star of this book。 Immediately I knew this Felix is just as wonderful as Don’t Just Fall, even more so in this book because I got to know him more。 And he’s so sweet, thoughtful, and the kindest hockey player you’ll ever meet。 There’s so much more to him, and I can’t wait for you to read it。 Gracie is smart and talented and absolutely determined to not like Felix。 But how can she resist? The forced proximity is a fun twist。 And I loved how they got to know each other during a certain incident。 Their conversations were something I enjoyed the most。 There were so many enjoyable moments: Felix’s book shopping, their texts, the birthday party, realized their similarities, and the hockey game。 Oh and some quite amazing kisses。 The enjoyed the cameos from others characters in the Sweater Weather books and Jenny’s books。 I received an eARC from the author。 All views and opinions expressed are my own。 。。。more

Felix is a professional hockey player。 The goalie。 Gracie is his cellist playing neighbor and her goal is to stay far away from hockey players。 If that doesn’t make you want to read this story then just wait for it…Felix is a legit fan of classical music。(Steady。) Adored his grandmother。 (Let the sigh out。) Cooks real food。 (I’ll allow a squeal。) And loves books。 The kind where Darcy lives。 And romance ones。 (Did you swoon yet?)Wait! Did I mention he’s a goalie? Of a pro hockey team? Yep。 There Felix is a professional hockey player。 The goalie。 Gracie is his cellist playing neighbor and her goal is to stay far away from hockey players。 If that doesn’t make you want to read this story then just wait for it…Felix is a legit fan of classical music。(Steady。) Adored his grandmother。 (Let the sigh out。) Cooks real food。 (I’ll allow a squeal。) And loves books。 The kind where Darcy lives。 And romance ones。 (Did you swoon yet?)Wait! Yep。 There are actually so many other reasons to read this story, but I’m going to say that Felix is 89% of them。 But Gracie is also so easy to love! The author does such a flawless job allowing us access to both of the character’s insecurities and turmoil。 The hockey。 The families。 Harvest Hallow。 The friends。 The social anxiety。 The funny。 The swoony。 The records。 The heart melting。 All the things。 Connecting the first and last books of the Sweater Weather Series was an added bonus! It’s a story about deciding which parts of ourselves we choose to share and about finding the person that truly sees us。 And loves us anyways。 I’ve only seen one hockey game and I feared for my life since we were so close to the glass。 See what happens to Gracie when love comes her way or if she will choose to pass。 。。。more

A sugary sweet final book in the Sweater Weather series! What I loved:•Hockey romance •Hockey MMC x Musician/Teacher FMC•Close Proximity trope •Super supportive friendships •Appearances of other Sweater Weather characters I don’t always love closed door romances, but Jenny Proctor writes such sweet and swoony characters。 If you want a low stakes + small town during autumn vibes, I definitely recommend this series and this book。

I loveeee this book!! This was my first hockey romance to read and the way that these characters were written were so well thought out。 Felix (MMC) is not just a hockey player and has so much depth to him with music, his family, his team, he even goes to therapy like 😭😭❤️❤️ Everything about this couple was so cute and healthy and also funny at times。 I also loved how there was forced proximity, but they also still had their own lives and he would occasionally need to leave so it balanced out。 (I I loveeee this book!! I adore Felix I cannot express how much I adore Felix, and how much I can relate to him with his need to please and social awkwardness。 He was so incredibly sweet, and even when Gracie was being stubborn about not falling for hockey player I still loved her character。

I want to extend my gratitude to JPC Publishing and Jenny Proctor for providing me with an E-ARC through Netgalley in exchange for an honest review。Absolutely Not in Love is a heartwarming slow burn romance that's sure to captivate your heart。 It certainly captured mine。The story revolves around Felix, a professional hockey player with a love for classical music and a personal library that's the envy of any bookworm。 His next door neighbour, Gracie, a symphony cellist, has a strict policy agains I want to extend my gratitude to JPC Publishing and Jenny Proctor for providing me with an E-ARC through Netgalley in exchange for an honest review。Absolutely Not in Love is a heartwarming slow burn romance that's sure to captivate your heart。 It certainly captured mine。The story revolves around Felix, a professional hockey player with a love for classical music and a personal library that's the envy of any bookworm。 His next door neighbour, Gracie, a symphony cellist, has a strict policy against dating hockey players。 But she quickly discovers that Felix is more than just a typical hockey player。As the story progresses, we really start to see these two characters deep connection unfold。 They share a common thread of never feeling quite "enough”。 However, their mutual support and understanding bring out the best in each other。 Their shared love for classical music and books becomes the bridge that connects their souls。As someone who grapples with anxiety and self-doubt, I found Felix's journey particularly heartening。 His struggles and insecurities, especially within the context of his relationship with Gracie, add an extra layer of relatability and emotional depth to the story。In Absolutely Not in Love, you'll discover a touching romance that not only provides moments of pure joy but also addresses real life challenges with grace and sensitivity。 If you're in search of a heartwarming love story featuring well developed characters and a dose of reality, this book deserves a top spot on your reading list。 。。。more

Absolutely adorable。 I am a huge sucker for hockey romance, and I love the sweater weather universe so this was the perfect combo。 Despite this being a sweet, guaranteed HEA romance, there was just enough conflict to keep your heart pumping。 I really really love hockey MMCs who have character depth。 I did not connect much with the classical music components but I did appreciate that it was a non conventional way for the two characters to relate to each other。 The dialogue was super cute and fun, Absolutely adorable。 I am a huge sucker for hockey romance, and I love the sweater weather universe so this was the perfect combo。 Despite this being a sweet, guaranteed HEA romance, there was just enough conflict to keep your heart pumping。 I really really love hockey MMCs who have character depth。 I did not connect much with the classical music components but I did appreciate that it was a non conventional way for the two characters to relate to each other。 The dialogue was super cute and fun, there was tension, humor, and we love when a guy tries real hard to win the girl。 I will definitely be reading more by this author。Thank you for the advanced copy in exchange for an honest review。 All opinions are my own。 。。。more

I originally started reading this series for the first and the last and got a huge bonus by reading all the other books too。 What a great series! So this one was VERY hinted at in the first book and as they are both hockey related, it makes sense。 Felix and Gracie are neighbors and are great together。 I love how they interact and love the book。 Clean romance。 Definitely recommend。 Enjoy!

The sweetest characters, especially Felix。 It's so rare to read about such a well-developed male character and Felix was everything。 The writing is lovely, the story is so well crafted, and there were so many funny scenes that had me laughing。 I'm now even a fan of hockey (and I'm a southern hemisphere gal)! This is my second try with this series, and I think it will be my last。 "Absolutely Not in Love" has sweet moments and is an easy read, but it lacks substance and agency。 Gracie has no depth as a character, and her grudge is ridiculous。 Her whole life is shaped around a six-month relationship during high school!
